MANA ENCOURAGES CREATIVE College Student WRITERS
As you know, getting one’s short story or poetry published by a reputable traditional publisher is difficult. Getting one’s short story or poetry published by a reputable self-publisher can be challenging because of cost. MarketingNewAuthors.com (MANA) is owned by a retired college English professor who wants to offer a solution. She knows that money is tight for college students. She hopes you will let your students, who demonstrate unmistakable talent as a short story writer or poet, about this publishing offer. So, her company, MANA, is offering an opportunity for talented writers attending college to have his/her work published with other talented writers:
1) Student submits 2 to 5 short stories/poems to be refereed by the MANA Review Board; the subject and genre are the writer’s choice;
2) If works are recommended to be published, then, the student pays a down payment of $100 to get the project underway. After the approval of each author of the final galley proof, the final $100 is expected to be paid before the printing of the book.
NOTE: By April 20, if a sufficient number of submissions is not received, every student’s down payment will be refunded except for $25. MANA will use the $25 to compensate referees for their time reading each submission and donate to the American Red Cross to aid those who have survived the California wild fires.
3) Everyone who has submitted his/her works will receive a royalty of $1 for every book sold via the MANA website.
4) The writer maintains copyright of his/her work.
